CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING – Žacléř has a direct connection to the  "Krkonoše highway", unique winter tracks and high-quality routes, crossing the virgin nature of Dvorský les - the only primeval forest in the Giant Mountains - with the cleanest air in the Czech Republic.

DOWNHILL SKIING7 km of tracks of all levels of difficulty - Ski area Arrakis andstand out in the Krkonoše mountains with their panoramic views, 3,500 people/hour. It belongs to very good ski resorts.

SURROUNDINGS

ON THE TERRITORY OF THE CR

Sněžka – the highest mountain in the Czech Republic (1,602 m), a distinctive landmark of the eastern Giant Mountains and a popular tourist destination. A suspended chairlift leads from Peca pod Sněžkou over Růžová hora to the top of Sněžka.

Chapel of St. Vavřince on Sněžka – a rotunda chapel 14 m high on the top of Sněžka, consecrated in 1681. It fell into disrepair after being struck by lightning, and later served as a pub and shelter. Re-consecrated in 1854.

Janské Lázně – an important winter sports center in the eastern part of the Giant Mountains and at the same time a famous spa town with a number of excursion circuits, romantic viewpoints, thermal and mineral springs and other attractions.

Grund Resort Golf&Ski Mladé Buky – a 120 ha golf course offers unrepeatable views of the Eastern Krkonoše massif, including Sněžka. A fully equipped ski park at an altitude of 550-670 m above sea level, it offers 5 km of downhill tracks along with another 5 km of groomed cross-country tracks. The site is located approx. 12 km from Žacléř.

Černá Hora – a mountain above Janské Lázně (1299 m) with a TV transmitter, a cable car leads to Černá Hora from the western edge of the spa. From the lookout tower at the top, there is a wonderful view of the Krkonoše panorama, including a view of Sněžka, the starting point for shorter and more challenging hikes along the Krkonoše ridges. The Montenegrin sledging path – a 3.5 km long sledding track recalls the long tradition of sledging in Janské Lázně. The first sled races took place in 1900, in 1913 a kilometer-long sled lift was put into operation.

Pec pod Sněžkou – popular tourist resort and renowned center of tourism in the Eastern Giant Mountains, lower station of the Sněžkou cable car. The neighboring Velká Úpa and numerous mountain settlements and hermitages are part of the city.

Trutnov – a historic town in Podkrkonoší, which includes Krakonošovo náměstí with Renaissance and Baroque arcaded houses. The former castle is home to the Krkonoše Museum with a permanent exhibition dedicated to the Battle of Trutnov 1866 and the Prussian-Austrian War.

Stachelberg fortress (Babí) – planned as the largest artillery fortress of the Czechoslovak fortress system, only one of the twelve planned buildings was completed. There is an exhibition in the Polom infantry log cabin, part of the underground space is accessible, in the vicinity you can find log cabin excavations, foundation slabs and buried stairwells.

Adršpašské and Teplické rocks – famous sandstone rock towns 30 km from Žacléř

Dvůr Králové ZOO – belongs to the most famous and most beautiful zoological gardens in our country. It is located only 30 km from Žacléra in the picturesque Krkonoše foothills, and its varied terrain completes the atmosphere of wild nature. Almost two and a half thousand animals that have their origins in distant countries found their homes here.

Kuks Castle – a complex of baroque buildings with the former hospital of the Merciful Brothers and the Church of the Holy Trinity in the valley of the Elbe River. In the area you can find sculptural allegorical cycles of the twelve virtues and vices (M. B. Braun), a pharmacy museum, a baroque pharmacy, a garden and a gallery.

ON THE TERRITORY OF POLAND

Wroclaw – the capital of Lower Silesia with a vast town hall built on islands connected by more than a hundred bridges. It is the fourth largest city in Poland located on the banks of the Odra River and at the same time one of the oldest Polish cities. Lubawka – a border town attractive especially for hiking. The proximity of the Krkonoše National Park, the Havraní kámen geological reserves and the Goblin Balwany or the Bukowka lake are particularly attractive.

Walbrzych – the administrative center of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. The city is located at an altitude of 450 to 500 meters above sea level in a picturesque valley, above which rises the forested range of the Valbriš Mountains. The close proximity of the Stone and Owl Mountains, cultural monuments, recreational facilities - all this creates suitable conditions for sports and various forms of tourism and recreation throughout the year.

Ksiaz – the third largest castle in Poland, built in the 13th century. The castle is often called the "Versailles of Lower Silesia", mainly because of the number of rooms (over 400) and fireplaces (over 200). The castle's location in the picturesque valley of the Pełcznica River, in the middle of the old forests of the scenic Ksiaz Park, gives it a fantastic, fairy-tale charm.

Karpacz – a town in southwestern Poland located at the foot of Sněžka, one of the most important 22 ski centers in Poland. The location is also attractive for hikers, for whom a number of marked routes are available.

Jelenia Gora – is the largest city in the Polish part of the Nisa Euroregion. The more than 800-year history of the city is reflected in the urban form of the old town and in the number of architectural monuments. The most valuable is the development of the old town - houses with a characteristic archway. The baroque church of St. The cross, whose dome with five towers is the pride of the Protestant Baroque in Silesia. Every year in Jelení Góra open-air theater performances and events associated with the Jeleniegorský September festivities take place.

Seven extensive underground complexes of military factories of Nazi Germany in the vicinity up to Ksiaz Castle and the towns of Gluszyca, Kolce, Sokolec, Walim, Jedlina Zdrój and Lubiechów: Rzeczka, Wlodarz, Sobón, Sokolec, Jugowice Górne and Osówka. One underground city was to be Hitler's new "Riese" tent, others as underground factories up to the production of flying saucers.

Klodzko – jis the largest tourist center of the Kladská Kotlina. The old town with the famous stone bridge from the 14th century is a protected monument reserve. The fortress that served during II. World War II as a prison and its tour is one of the city's tourist attractions.
